Registration opens Friday, August 7th.
All programs are limited to 36 youth.
All programs include 9 sessions. They may finish later than expected, depending on permits and holidays.
PLEASE NOTE: All gyms listed for Tier 1 in the Comox Valley are TBD. The gyms listed are the permits we will be applying for, but we will not have a guarantee until September 21st. Refunds will be available if the gym doesn’t work out for you. Thank you for understanding!

tier 1:
recreational academy
This foundational program has been the heart of Dime for five years — and still going strong.
The Dime Recreational Academy is designed for players of all backgrounds—whether you're picking up a basketball for the first time or looking to stay active in a low-pressure environment. Held across the Comox Valley and Campbell River, this tier emphasizes:
● Fundamentals and skill development
● Small-sided games (including 5-on-5)
● Supportive, coach-led sessions with a proven curriculum
Schedule:
● Monday–Friday: Full range of programs (see full schedule)
● Sunday: 3x3 Fall League – our most popular league with high reps, lots of hoops, and live scores/standings

tier 2:
competitive academy
This program builds skills, game IQ, and competitiveness — perfect for athletes who want to improve and still have fun.
The Dime Competitive Academy, launched in 2023/24, is tailored for athletes with club or school team experience who are looking to elevate their game while maintaining balance with other sports.
● Fundamentals and skill development
● Small-sided games (including 5-on-5)
● Supportive, coach-led sessions with a proven curriculum
This year, Dime competitive academy will include the option to add on one or two tournaments so that players can get the chance to play in a competitive environment before school ball.
LOTS of Tier 2 options. $200 per program, tournament add on extra.

tier 3:
elite futures academy
*Player Commitment:
Basketball must be your #1 sport this fall. Program stops once the school season begins.
this our highest tier, designed for players fully committed and aspiring to play at the post-secondary level.
With four sessions per week, this program delivers a comprehensive, high-performance experience. It’s built around four pillars of development:
1. Elite Skill Development
Master advanced techniques in ball handling, finishing, shooting, reads, decision-making, and more.
2. Team Concepts
Learn different motion offences, screen coverages, defensive principles, and more.
3. Strength & Conditioning
Weekly sessions at a partnered gym, plus a take-home training plan to build athleticism and prevent injury.
4. Recruitment Support
Guidance on creation of highlight reels, writing to coaches, and building a recruitment profile with 1-on-1 support.
